The hair that is the most precious part of our look grows on the scalp. The scalp is a mixture of tissues and Skin that form layers that are responsible for different functions of hair growth as well as the protection of the skull and brain.
What is scalp?
S: Skin – Skin is the layer that contains sweat glands, sebaceous glands and hair follicles.
C: Connective tissue – This layer consists of the blood vessels and the nerves of the scalp.
A: Aponeurosis (Galea) – Including the first two layers of the scalp, this layer leads to the forward and backward movements of the scalp.
L: Loose connective tissue – This layer is called the dangerous area of the scalp because it is closed on all sides except the anteriorly which open up into the upper eyelid.
P: Periosteum – Periosteum is a loose covering of the bones of the skull vault.
The scalp has five layers from superficial to deep. The Skin of the scalp skin in the human body, which measures up to 8 mm in thickness and has 100,000 hair on an average. The subcutis is a layer of fat which is enclosed in compartments formed by rigid fibrous septa (the fibrous walls that separate the parts of the skull). All the large blood vessels and nerves of the scalp are located in this layer.

Scalp reconstruction is a surgical procedure to fix scalp defects. The defects of the scalp can be full with the thickness or partial and can come with birth or developed at a later stage.
